National Insect Week returns in 2020

Activity and Open Day at Cockaynes Wood

Cockaynes Wood Trust and Essex Wildlife Trust are hosting an activity day on Sunday 24th June between 11am and 4pm to coincide with National Insect Week.

Activities include something for everyone; guided walks, pond dipping, green woodworking demonstrations, a plant stall and a secondhand book stall.

Dogs on leads are welcome.

Refreshments will be available (tea, coffee, soft drinks and homemade cakes).

No need to register as the event is free. All donations are to be shared between Cockaynes Wood Trust and Essex Wildlife Trust.

Directions: From Wivenhoe, the site is accessed via Alresford Road.  Turn left just before the brick-built railway bridge and follow the arrow signs to the designated parking area.
