National Insect Week returns in 2020

Battle of the Beetles with MG Leonard at the Story Museum

Saturday, June 16, 2018 - 14:00 to 15:15

To launch our special 'Insects Through the Looking-Glass exhibition' for National Insect Week, award winning author of ‘Beetle Boy’, MG Leonard, is back to read from the sensational third and final story in the trilogy, the exhilarating ‘Battle of the Beetles’.

M.G. Leonard was terrified of beetles until she started researching them for a book. She soon realised that these fascinating creatures, which support the eco-system of our entire planet, deserved to be the heroes, not the villains, of the story. So she set about writing the most compelling, funny and heart-warming adventure she could summon, about bravery, friendship and beetles.

Join us for this fabulous event full of wit, energy, stories and, of course, beetles! You can visit the 'Insects Through the Looking-Glass' exhibition and look for other exciting insect events at The Story Museum between June 16th - July 7th.
