93 days to go to National Insect Week

Bumblebee identification & meadow creation at Mugdock Country Park

Tuesday, June 28, 2016 - 10:00 to 15:00

Join Buglife and the Bumblebee Conservation Trust to spend a day learning about how to manage and create wildflower meadows and how to identify and record our common bumblebee species.

The day will include an indoor introduction to bumblebee ecology and identification, the national bumblebee monitoring scheme, as well as information on how to create and manage a wildflower meadow area. This will be followed by an outdoor session, at finding and identifying bumblebees and to look at the wildflower meadows within Mugdock Country Park.

Please bring a packed lunch and suitable clothing for the outdoor session.
