92 days to go to National Insect Week

Dragonflies of Upton Fen

Saturday, July 2, 2016 - 10:00 to 13:00

Join the Norfolk Dragonfly Recorder, Dr Pam Taylor, and the Norfolk Wildlife Trust Broadland Group for a morning walk at Norfolk Wildlife Trust's Upton Fen to look for a broad range of species, including the beautiful Norfolk Hawker and variable damselfly.

Meet at 10.00am at Upton Fen car park, grid ref: TG379136. Postcode: NR13 6EQ (Low Road)

Car: from Acle, Norwich or Wroxham head towards South Walsham, then follow signs for Pilson Green.

There is a train station at Acle. This is roughly 3.5 miles from the Upton Fen car park, which is a 20-30 minute cycle ride.

Wellies or boots would be useful, as would insect repellent. Please bring a packed lunch if you are staying on site (unguided) for the afternoon.

N.B. Numbers are strictly limited to 20 on this walk and booking, preferably by email, is absolutely essential.
