Immerse yourself in the hidden world of insects. As part of National Insect Week (20 – 26 June) discover details of insects unseen with the naked eye at RHS Garden Wisley. RHS entomologists will be on hand in the Glasshouse Gallery to help you find out more and answer your questions.  Watch the action of garden insect predators magnified, explore the delicate features of familiar insects such as the honeybee under microscopes and find out how to study the insect life in your own garden.

Female water snipe flies Atherix ibis clasp each other and cluster in big round aggregations on the end of branches overhanging rivers – males entering the swarms are mated repeatedly until they die. The females then lay their eggs in to the water – and all die still in their tight aggregations.
