Insect Investigators at Moses Gate Country Park

A 2 hour creepy crawl into the wonderful world of mini-beasts.

We would like to invite any children up to 6 years old and their parents or guardians to join us for an afternoon of explorations and bug-themed play in Bolton's Moses Gate Country Park.

This event is part of our Really Wild Adventures project, fully funded through Bolton CVS.

Free to attend, and light refreshments will be provided.

Children must be accompanied.

There are lots of contenders here – possibly the pretty red and blue rove beetle Paederus – very, very tiny amounts of its poison have been used to cure chronic ulceration in people. Ladybirds are pretty poisonous (and pretty) and can bleed foul-tasting poisonous brightly coloured blood from their knees.
