Introduction to Bumblebees at Bishops Wood

Saturday, June 23, 2018 - 10:00 to 16:00

This bumblebee identification day course will be field based. Bees will be caught and studied in the field to enable correct identification, where possible, and then released. To start the day a presentation will be given to introduce the genus and their ecology.

Ian Cheeseborough is self-employed in the field of habitat management and entomological surveys, mainly in Shropshire. He has been studying Aculeate Hymenoptera – bees, wasps and ants for the past sixteen years and is County Recorder for this group of insects.
