National Insect Week returns in 2020

Itchen Valley County Park Dragonfly Walk

We're heading to Southampton to this country park of water meadows, ancient woodland and grazing pasture at the side of the River Itchen, hoping to find Southern Damselfly (Coenagrion mercuriale) on the wing and also as a larva.

Meet at 10:30 at Itchen C.P. Visitor Centre, Allington Lane, West End, SO30 3HQ (SU461159).

Bring lunch (or available at the visitor centre café), and good boots.

Parking charges apply - £4.30 for 4 hours.
