National Insect Week is HERE

Marvellous Moths at Greno Woods

Wednesday, June 20, 2018 - 08:30 to 23:00

Come and join us to look for Moths at Greno.

We will learn about Moths and their habitats with local expert Ben Keywood and set up a Moth trap to see what species we have at Greno Woods.

Whilst we are on site in at dusk we can look out for other nocturnal species and enjoy the peace of being outside in the evening.

Did you know?

Most poisonous

There are lots of contenders here – possibly the pretty red and blue rove beetle Paederus – very, very tiny amounts of its poison have been used to cure chronic ulceration in people. Ladybirds are pretty poisonous (and pretty) and can bleed foul-tasting poisonous brightly coloured blood from their knees.
