National Insect Week returns in 2020

National Insect Week at Bugtopia Hornsea

Saturday, June 23, 2018 - 10:00 to 17:00

Come and visit Bugtopia Hornsea during National Insect Week for a WILD day out!

Take a walk through our stunning Jungle Trail to see free flying butterflies and birds, stick insects and amazing invertebrates from around the world.

Complete your adventure with an Explorer Show where you can learn about and hold a variety of insects and invertebrates.

To celebrate National Insect Week, we will be building our FIRST on site Bug Hotel! We'd like all our visitors to join in and help us build a home for our smallest native residents, so come and get involved.

We will also be challenging our visitors to have a look around Hornsea Freeport to see how many native insects you can find around the site! Don't worry, we will be able to help identify anything you don't recognise!

Bug hotel building will be taking place on the weekend of National Insect Week, Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th June.
