National Insect Week Schools Sessions at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo

Tuesday, June 21, 2016 - 10:00 to 17:00

Please note: this event is only for schools groups visiting ZSL Whipsnade Zoo from 17-24 June 2016

To celebrate National Insect Week and Empty Classroom Day, ZSL London Zoo and ZSL Whipsnade Zoo are offering free minibeast-linked sessions for KS2 pupils from17th - 24th of June 2016.  Get your your pupils out of the classroom to explore ‘the little things that run the world’ and learn about amazing insects!

Bioblitz Minibeast Investigate! 

Pupils will work scientifically to collect real data on native species found in our specially designed wildlife habitat. Pupils will explore habitats to uncover native species and work in small groups to identify animals using simple keys. This session will include engaging activities that introduces students to food chains, use of scientific keys and collecting data skills.
