National Insect Week returns in 2020
This colourful watercolour workshop day will develop your skills and confidence in painting and observing these beautiful, delicate insects, as well as some of the native flowers & plants they are attracted to.
Allie gives plenty of demonstration and guidance in techniques for complete beginners to intermediates, there is always something new to learn with this wonderful medium.
Allie teaches in an informal and fun environment. You will learn lots of new skills, adding highlights, shadows and delicate patterns to these important pollinators.
It will be a day full of colour and fascination.

Suitable for people with limited mobility
Female water snipe flies Atherix ibis clasp each other and cluster in big round aggregations on the end of branches overhanging rivers – males entering the swarms are mated repeatedly until they die. The females then lay their eggs in to the water – and all die still in their tight aggregations.
