HUNT THE HUMMING-BIRD HAWK-MOTH AND PAINTED LADY BUTTERFLY

Keep your eyes peeled for these amazing insects, which bring a touch of the exotic to British gardens each year. These creatures undertake an incredible migration each year, arriving here from North Africa and staying to breed during the summer months. June is normally the peak time for their arrival on our shores.

With climate change, both insects seem to be more common in Britain and Ireland, and Humming-bird Hawk-moths may even be surviving our milder winters. However, accurate information is hard to find and we need your help to try to unravel the story!
