The Environment Agency is a public body responsible to the UK Secretary of State for Environment Food and Rural Affairs and to the National Assembly for Wales. Its principal aims are to protect and improve the environment, and promote sustainable development. It plays a key role in delivering the environmental priorities of the UK Government and the Welsh Assembly.
