Need help identifying an insect you've seen?

First, have a look at our Intriguing Insects Miniguide, which shows our most requested insect species to identify.

If your insect is not there, then why not ask one of our experts.

Please include the approximate size of the insect (body length in mm/inches) or an indication of size as a scale in the picture (e.g. a coin, ruler, measure). Please let us know the environment/habitat where the insect was seen, e.g. indoors or outdoors, and if the insect was on a plant please provide the name of the plant, if known.
Please send your best in-focus image.
