Stillingfleet Lodge Garndens York
Stillingfleet Lodge is a late 18th Century farmhouse surrounded by a series of contrasting gardens. Each garden is packed with texture and foliage densely planted for ease of maintenance based on cottage garden principles. A woodland walk leads to a wildlife pond and further to a wildflower meadow. The garden is home to several varieties of rare poultry and is full of birds and butterflies. The tranquillity of this beautiful garden can be enjoyed from the many seats around the garden.
Probably ladybirds (50+ UK species), beloved of children’s rhymes and many are useful predators of greenfly.
